4th Anniversary of "Viva La Fiesta" Hispanic Festival w/ FULANITO!

  • James Weldon Johnson Park 135 West Monroe Street Jacksonville, FL, 32202 United States (map)

I have NEVER missed one of these festivals & if you’ve attended one in the past, you know exactly why. Even with last year’s showers, people did NOT care one bit and it turned into a full on movie scene of people dancing in the rain!

This is the only Hispanic Festival in the city and it falls on Oct 15th, which is the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month. The energy is always high - whether you’re in the activated kids area, watching (or dancing along) to the typical cultural dances, or eating from one of the best Latin food trucks in the city.

This year’s headliner is the wildly popular Merengue group, Fulanito! This is a full circle moment for me, but for those that remember “Fiesta Playera” back in Jax Beach around 2001, they were my introduction to merengue when they performed here - and have been a fan since that day!

Festival is presented by Yanira Cardona of Yaya Productions - James Weldon Johnson Park & Norsan Media
