Les Misérables in Jacksonville - April 1st - 6th
The world’s most popular musical! Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables.
This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as “Les Mis for the 21st Century” (Huffington Post), “a reborn dream of a production” (Daily Telegraph) and “one of the greatest musicals ever created” (Chicago Tribune).
Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. This epic and uplifting story has become one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history.

OPEN CALL : PHX JAX Spring Mural Jam 2025
Calling all muralists and street artists! The PHX JAX Spring Mural Jam 2025 is now accepting applications until April 5th (Saturday)! They’re seeking muralists and street artists to transform the 14th Street Walls in the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District on April 19th. If you haven’t seen what was done last year, I highly suggest driving over and taking it in before they’re painted over. (It’s incredible to see in person!)
A Jam allows muralists to paint WHATEVER they want. This is a great way to not just connect with some incredible artists from Jax & around the country, but to also showcase what you want. If you’ve been wanting to get more work in a certain style of work, but don’t have it in your portfolio to show off - this is that opportunity.

Digital and physical submissions both accepted.
Deadline: Fri, Apr 19
Drop-offs: Apr 16 (12p–7p), Apr 18 (12p–4p), Apr 19 (2p–5p)

The Creative Club ft. Emily Cargill
One of my favorite experiences as of late, The Creative Club, is back for their April rendition! This is a monthly gathering hosted by Helena Acosta, which serves as an open space for sharing—whether through poetry, music, visual art, or just listening. It’s about using creativity as a healing practice. Each month a different artist is featured & they’ll have the floor for about 20 minutes, followed by other creatives who chose to enter their name to be picked & to speak for a few minutes. This month choreographer Emily Cargill, founder of Women Arts Exchange is the featured artist! The event includes an interactive dance session where guests will explore movement as storytelling. They’ll also have booze-free drinks by our favs, @wildcraftersjax!

Three-day oceanfront blues fest with two stages and a massive lineup including Victor Wainwright and The Train, North Mississippi Allstars, Southern Avenue, D.K. Harrell, Millajohn’s Bluesoul, and more. It’s free to hit the lawn, but VIP wristbands get you shaded seating, AC bathrooms, and drinks you won’t find anywhere else. Food court, arts market, and a kid zone make it more than just a music weekend. This year’s 33rd edition brings both legends and newer names across soul, funk, roots, and blues.

Poetically Mic’d x No Bird: April Fails Open Mic at No Bird
This open mic flips the script—performers get booed instead of clapped and that’s the whole point. Anything goes: poetry, comedy, music, storytelling, or whatever else you can get through a mic. Hosted by Soliloquy, with sign-ups starting right at the door. The more the crowd boos, the better you’re doing—allegedly. Bring your thickest skin and sharpest work.

The Velvet Underground Show – A Spicy Speakeasy at the Glass Factory
This immersive cabaret wraps fire acts, aerial performers, and jazz into one disorienting (in a good way) speakeasy dream. A Cirque du Soleil alum, America’s Got Talent finalist, and a Guinness World Record holder are part of the rotating cast. You’re surrounded the whole time, not seated—so expect to be part of the scene. Everything’s scored with live music and paired with cocktails from McKarl’s Libations.

NO GUEST LIST at X Lounge
Belly of the Beast is throwing an underground rave and there’s literally no guest list. Curated by Nate Dae, the night’s stacked with hosts like Fuckuduttysluts, T4*, Daesha B, and BuggaTronix, with DJ sets by CJK & LUNAXCEL. Expect chaos, sweaty dance floors, and no velvet ropes—just raw energy, art, and a crowd that’s actually about it. Doc work by Saint Augustus.

Bingo Loco at Decca Live

A deep dive into the Buna Tetu ceremony, a traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean coffee ritual. Green coffee beans are roasted over an open flame, ground by hand, and served from a jebena pot. The slow, intentional process invites conversation and reflection while the aroma of frankincense fills the space. This gathering is more than coffee—it's about connection, culture, and storytelling. Free venue parking available.

HEAVYWEIGHT: Invitational Figurative Painting Show at Florida Reunion
Curated by Jason John, Heavyweight showcases Jacksonville artists pushing the boundaries of figurative art. Mid-Century Songbook Cabaret at No Bird (2 shows)
