There’s only ONE thing that can beat the energy & morale of the city when the first @Jaguars home game takes place - & that’s if the Jags win that home game! The game is on Sep 18th & is taking place in Downtown Jacksonville’s TIAA Stadium, where the Jags will be playing the Colts. Tickets are still available (as cheap at $35 at the moment) & I promise you, it’s 10000% worth experiencing at least ONCE in your life (& this is coming from a non-football fanatic, who blocks off this day every year since the first time I’ve attended).
If you’ve never tailgated, you can either wander to one of the larger tailgates (like Bold City Brigade), or if you’re with social friends, people are insanely friendly during the tailgates and you may find yourself in the middle of a party you didn’t anticipate. You can also stop by Toon Town as a central location (walking distance to the stadium) and grab a pizza (which comes with a free beer!) >> link for info on that
