As we all start to come down from the high that’s been “House of the Dragon” & “The Rings of Power”, the Cummer Museum comes in with the most timely tie-in with their new exhibit “The Age of Armor” that’s opening up on the 21st! Armor had an obvious practical function in an age when warfare was common, but it has always had a cultural role as well, symbolizing personal identity, social prestige, & the values of a heroic past. The exhibit brings in the reality of what armor was, how it was made, and how it disappeared.
From 5-8pm, you can also meet artist, Princess Simpson Rashid as she demonstrated & discusses her artwork on display!
