The Great Cities Symposium is an annual fundraiser for Scenic Jacksonville/Riverfront Parks Now. It invites a prominent city leaders from elsewhere who has done great things to Jacksonville, to share their expertise/wisdom/advise. This year, it's Bob Buckhorn, the immediate past 2 term mayor of Tampa, who oversaw Downtown Tampa's gigantic transformation over the past decade, including its waterfront. It's been a relatively fast and dramatic transformation, from boring to vibrant! Heavy hors d'oeuvres to eat, Manifest and Camp Craft cocktails to drink, with a lot of city, non-profit and biz leaders in attendance.
