Lafavre Celebration at The Lark in Downtown Jacksonville

“Leap & a net will appear” is the quote that comes to mind when discussing the five years of @Lafavre.us (pronounced Lah-fahv) - & not just because Kasey actually jumped off the Main Street Bridge 😅

Lafavre, created by 5th-generation Jacksonville native Kasey Faver, has built a cult-like following, & that was evident this past Monday morning, 9/04 Day, at 9:04am when the first 4 pieces of the 8-piece collaborative collection with the Jacksonville Jaguars was released, and completely SOLD OUT in a matter of seconds. This was the first official collab with the Jaguars, and the pictures in the feed give you a glimpse into the celebration of the historic moment the evening before the drop, held at TheLarkJax in Downtown.

From his first piece, a basketball hoop printed on a shirt, to the pieces most people know him for, the corduroy hats & button downs, the crochet ski masks & hoodies, & that letterman jacket that Jamal Agnew wore to promote this newest collection (my obsession), the consistency in branding & marketing has been EXCEPTIONAL. It would be a disservice to not shout out @til.in for the visuals that made me pause many times over the past few years.

There’s an exclusivity factor that was built into the brand by the limited runs in the collections (which all sell out), while simultaneously being hyper-community oriented. They’ve released quite a few short films over the years (which, 😍) at iconic Jax venues (from Hotel Palms to VooSwar) and the one that changed the trajectory was the release of “A Wet Dream” where reps from Fanatics came out, leading them to introduce Lafavre to the NFL, and ultimately landing him the licensing deal that we’re all celebrating now. They pushed through the deal, with a stipulation that hats can’t be produced, & that’s when NewEra stepped in & offered to produce those!

I FULLY understand the hype, not just around the impeccable clothing design & quality, but the hospitality that the entire team exudes. That “Southern Grit” is hard not to notice.
