Jacksonville, FL — There are countless Valentine’s & Galentine’s Day events taking placing all throughout the city, and some of my favorite events center small-businesses and creators. With a rise in Galentine’s events, the transition from Valentine’s Day being exclusively dedicated to celebrating your romantic partner, to celebrating your friendships over a meal, drinks, and activities! These are the 13 events I think are worth your time;
2/8 | 6pm - Head over to Atlantic Beach (Mayport, specifically) to one of the best venues in the city, The Lobby Jax. Groove to live music, strike a pose on v-day inspired backdrops, win cool giveaways, design charm bracelets, & shop local vendors, all while enjoying fun drinks & snacks!

2/14 | 5:30pm : Indulge in an intimate 3-course meal featuring locally grown ingredients & Locally Distilled DuBlasé Whiskey. Includes: 2 DuBlasé Craft Cocktails & Bottomless Hibiscus Ginger Sweet Tea. The space is intimate and will host two dinners at 5:30p & 7:30p. 2/14 | 7pm : Are you in love? Are you out of love? Are you lovable? Love-bombed? Loveless or lovely or lovelorn or love-adjacent? Well, none of that matters. All that matters is that you love poetry and spoken word. The Valentines Day Poetry Open Mic has returned to Chamblins Uptown, this time with Princess DNA as our feature. Stop by to step up to the mic, or just to sit back and enjoy the rich literary performance community in action. Free chocolate will be provided; the cafe will be open for all your coffee/beer/soda needs.

Hawaiian shirts are encouraged, but not required for their tropical soiree. At 6pm, you’ll start with a three-course dinner by @thehungryowljax (which if you’ve never tried - GO!), which is paired with a few special treatments of Ruby Beach’s beer.
