This award-winning doc by Tadashi Nakamura follows artists Estria Miyashiro and John Hina as they lead Native Hawaiian youth in a mural project addressing cultural erasure and environmental change. The film blends graffiti with ancient tradition, set in the rural town of Waimea. Screening runs just over an hour and wraps with a live conversation led by Kady Yellow. Her background in urban art and graffiti brings sharp perspective to the post-film talk. Free to attend, but RSVP is encouraged.
