Exhibit Opening : Sporting Fashion: Outdoor Girls 1800 To 1960 at Cummer Museum

The first exhibition to explore the evolution of women’s sporting attire in Western fashion, Sporting Fashion will look at the extraordinary impact of new technologies and evolving social mores on women’s clothing for sport. Inspired by a circa 1946 wool scarf inscribed with the word "Outdoorgirl" & featuring illustrations of women engaged in thirteen different sporting activities.

Alongside this exhibit, Teresa Cook opens up “Women’s Rights Movement” exhibit which you’ll see leading into Sporting Fashion. You can also join Teresa for her artist meet & greet on March 12 from 6-7:30p.
