Story Slams offer an opportunity for people to share a true story, hone the craft of oral storytelling, and connect with community. Storytellers have 5 to 7 minutes each to tell a story based on a THEME chosen for the event without the use of notes. Audience members get to vote for their fave storyteller! The winner of the popular vote receives a $50.00 Gift Certificate to WOLF & CUB, our favorite downtown Jax retail shop. This month’s theme is "A Piece of Cake" — those moments that felt like a sweet victory, the challenges that were a tough nut to crack, or the unexpected surprises that made life a delightful treat. This special evening not only marks the beginning of a new year but also serves as a jubilant celebration of Babs' birthday.
