Join Hearts 4 Minds as they celebrate the unveiling of their newest mural “Be The Focus” on August 19 at 9:30 a.m. “Be The Focus” is located on the wall of the Bank of America San Marco facing the Balis Park Gazebo (in San Marco Square).
The unveiling celebrates both the mural and Sheryl Johnson’s son, Alex, who passed away in 2018 due to mental illness. He would have turned 29 on August 19 and is the reason Hearts 4 Minds was created.
This mural is the work of local artist David Nackashi. Nackashi has previously worked on past murals in the series, according to Johnson, and was chosen to design the Bank of America mural due to his “understanding of our mission, support of our goal, and artistic vision”
