As Babs’ approaches the fifth anniversary of story slams, their mission is to offer an opportunity for people to share a true story, hone the craft of oral storytelling, and connect with community. Storytellers have 5 minutes each to tell a TRUE personal story based on a THEME chosen for the event without the use of notes. Audience members get to vote for their fave storyteller! The winner of the popular vote receives a $50.00 Gift Certificate to WOLF & CUB, our favorite downtown Jax sponsor retail shop.
THEME: HEAD OVER HEELS
• Audience members can prepare a story and enter their name in a hat or decide to sit back and listen. • 8 - 10 people's names are picked from the hat. • At the end of the evening the audience votes for their favorite storyteller. • The winner receives a $50.00 gift certificate!
