The Jessie has partnered with civil rights activist and living legend, Rodney Hurst Sr., to precent the "Free Press" Art Exhibition at The Jessie on corner of Adams & Ocean in Downtown Jacksonville. The exhibit will feature the artwork of: Christopher Clark - Jasmine Hurst - Tyler Murphy & Jarett Walker.
Artist statement : "So often we hear 'freedom is not free' to convey that all things in life come with a price. Freedom is something you have; however, being free is something you do. Freedom doesn’t equate to a free mind. One must choose to remain curious in a structured world to follow what’s placed right in front of you. Our community has the power to say this is what we have, what we do, and who we are. We are 'FREE PRESS.'"
