The work of Dimelza Broche consists of drawings and paintings where she explores what the “Self” means to her. From inside her memory palace, she takes us on a journey to the uncharted land of the self and its relationship to the body. She describes and shows her inner feelings about the body as a vessel and that no matter how different it works or might look it is still beautiful in its own way. In this new body of work, we can see experimentation not only on how the artist is portraying the subject matter but also on how she presents this with her collaged drawings and handmade frames.
