Within 5 years of the Yellow House, 233 visual artists, 49 poets, and 30 musicians have been supported through the work of connecting the arts to issue of social importance (ranging from gun reform to food security), all while centering black, brown, queer, immigrant and youth voices. Now is the time to celebrate the 5 years & see the newest exhibit “Be Well”. DJ and video artist Jordyfangs will be setting the vibe & sharing an original piece of video art inspired by Yellow House. There will be food, drink, piles of books for pop-up read arounds or you can bring your own favorite banned book, poem, or artist statement to read in the space. I’ll see you there!
