Erin has talked about this project for a few months now and It’s FINALLY ready for us to see, and one I’ll gladly drive to St Augustine for! It also happens to coincide with St. Augustine’s version of Art Walk, so I’m making it a night out of it to see what the creatives are doing in the area!
“The Hotelmen” is a solo exhibition that celebrates the lives experiences of the Cuban Giants, the first professional black baseball team who also worked as service staff for the historic Ponce de Leon Hotel in the late 1800s. Special guest Dr. Gylbert Coker, an African American art historian, curator, and museum director will join Erin in conversation at 6pm. The exhibit is up until Dec 2nd.
