We’re all familiar with the Nutcracker and that it’s been a staple within the dance community in Jacksonville for 50 years. BUT, this time, for the first time (sadly) in the 50 years of production, the lead role will be a PoC (Filipina!), Hillary Bodin! I’ve seen Hillary dance for YEARS (and is also the ballet teacher at Bolles) and have always been stunned by what she’s capable of doing with her body. Seeing her earn this casting as Clara brought so much joy to me! The show is always a big success, so I highly suggest grabbing any tickets that are left!
