Spring Mural Jam at PHX Jax 2025
Spring Mural Jam: PHXJAX x Jax Wall Project took place on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at Phoenix Arts District (2404 Hubbard Street) and was a free community event from 10am to 6pm.
Over 40 artists painted large-scale murals live on 14th Street, turning the Phoenix Arts District into an open-air gallery. You found muralists, graffiti writers, and street artists creating everything from bold portraits to abstract walls. Vendors included The Block Skate Supply, Kingdom Clothing, and Wolf & Cub, and Naked Kitchen, Blacker the Coffee, and Fishwier Brewing handled the food and drinks.
The Exhibit Opening: CHAMPLOO also took place on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at Legacy Studios Warehouse inside the Phoenix Arts District and was a free community event from 6pm to 8:30pm.
Support Local Artists presented CHAMPLOO, a group show featuring Victor Ali, John Hawkins, Khiry Hines, and Jarett Walker. The exhibit mixed creative styles across street culture, contemporary art, and personal storytelling. Culinary creations by the legendary Naps Whippin. The word Champloo (チャンプルー) is derived from the Okinawan stir-fry dish chanpurū, meaning “something mixed” or “blended together.”
