Jacksonville’s 44th Annual MLK Holiday Grand Parade
Rescheduled to February 17, 2025
What began as a January celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life was pushed to Presidents Day due to extreme cold, yet the spirit never wavered. More than just a march, this year’s parade—starting at EverBank Stadium at 10:30 a.m. and winding downtown—was a vibrant testament to community resilience, unity, and the ongoing fight for equality during Black History Month
Why it matters: As Jacksonville turns 200, this parade reaffirmed our collective commitment to social justice, echoing MLK’s call to “march forward, not back,” and grounding our civic identity in cultural memory and action
